New Bag Swing

Hare & Hart Crawford Tote

Current Obsession

This is Hart & Hart Crawford Tote. I recently had the pleasure of attending a presentation of the current collection by the designers Emily Harrison and Jennie Engelhardt in which they discussed their design philosophy and brand development. It was an absolute pleasure meeting them at Jo’s Nolita last week for an evening of delicious cocktails, amazing leather goods and some really cool people.

Prior to composing this post, I was in the market for a new everyday tote, but I knew I wanted something subtle, yet striking and black, typical! This bag, the Crawford tote ($595.00) was one of my first choices. Crafted from vegetable tanned natural haircalf, this bag is truly unique. Produced in Argentina, the leather used was some of the softest and highest grades I ever came across, thus solidifying this bag as my new “it piece.” The entire collection features extremely well made, high quality leather pieces that can easily make their way into your wardrobe, and they also produce jackets, bangles and  other small goods.

Check out the full collection only @Hare & Hart.com

Thank you so much to the beautiful designers Emily & Jennie,  and to Ms Wendy Wolf!

UPDATE:

I am now a PROUD owner of this amazing piece! THANK YOU HARE + HART!

Topic: Travel Teq “Trash” Bag

This is the latest product from the Amsterdam based travel goods company Travel Teq. The  “Trash” Laptop bag’s name may be a fun twist of irony, but the bag itself is crafted of a beautiful tan Florentine Vachetta leather, and matched  with a water resistant nylon lining in many colors (shown are green, yellow, and orange). Production is handmade in Italy and features 8 compartments, a space for a 15″ laptop, outside compartments for your trusted iPhone or Black Berry, sunglasses, and important travel documents.

The Travel Teq “Trash” bag is truly a unique travel item, and is so necessary for my daily work documents and computer. It’s classic design and functionality is perfect for the modern traveller, and is definitely a  worthwhile purchase.
