New York Fashion Week Spring 2012 Men’s Collections
As the week comes to a close and the shows begin to dwindle down, I finally had some time to reflect and review the collections that were shown. It’s very, very rare that NYFW takes my breath away, and that also goes with the Men’s collections. This season I really feel like that there was no difference again, it was still luke warm to me. There were many shows and many presentations, but I picked my favorite look from each major menswear show and collated them together for you. The one thing I can say I enjoyed, was the more relaxed and simple aesthetic that was shown. The use of pattern and color was also very apparent, and anything that matched I was a sucker for! Check out my favorites below from the Spring 2012 showcases:
As you can see there was a great mix of silhouettes, colors, new fabrics and fits. The top picks for myself were Simon Spurr who showed that fantastic leather sleeve suit among other perfect pieces, and Duckie Brown for the beautiful floral print outfit. All in all it was another week of sublime parties (Phillip Lim’s was unforgettable) presentations, street fashion bloggers and non stop tweeting, but hey isn’t that what Fashion Week is all about?
See you all new year!
