The Preview
As most of you may have guessed by now, I have an undying fascination with the artist, heiress and style icon, Daphne Guinness. Along with being a fan I appreciate her style as a sense of true self-expression, opulence and whimsy. Recently she has joined forces with Valerie Steele and F.I.T , to curate a display of roughly 1,000 pieces from her personal wardrobe. Consisting of timeless archive pieces from Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Valentino, Nina Ricci and Givenchy just to name a small few. The exhibition will be inspired by Daphne’s 5th Avenue apartment and will include jewelry pieces, as well as her vast hat collection. Below are some preview images of pieces in the exhibition. Words cannot describe how excited I am to see this, as I have been waiting almost two years now for this to come into fruition.
Daphne Guinness exhibit opens on Sept. 16 at New York’s FIT Museum.
