The Black Nouveau

Reconfirming my belief that this is one of my favorite of the Milanese shows, Neil Barrett sent down a collection that was totally up my alley. The blend of military influences mixed with punk rock references created a beautiful combination. The use of leather was very apparent along with the colors black and white. One of absolute favorites was the suit above, in this amazing gradient pattern that to me resembled broken glass. Also the suiting was excellent with cropped pants and a looser fitting silhouette in the leg. Finally the shoes, black leather sandals and heavy boots that made my heart stop.  Neil’s show is always the first one I pay attention too when Milan Fashion Week commences and below are my favorite picks from the show.
