The Row 2012 Resort Collection

Undoubtedly becoming one of my absolute favorite design duo’s, Mary-Kate & Ashley conceived a truly fantastic collection for the Resort season. The collection consisted of superb suiting and stripes with a homage to the Luchino Visconti film Death in Venice. The 1940’s clean and fresh look almost resembled the wardrobe of a wealthy artist or philanthropist’s daughter, coasting on the family yacht in Monte Carlo during the 1940’s summer months. The twins know what they are doing, and they know exactly what their customers want, which is undeniable luxury. The best part of the collection for me are the shoes. Good year welted brogues and wingtips that just completed the look perfectly. I can only be inspired by their work and sheer passion for design and as they continue to send out phenomenal clothing (such as the Fall 2011 Collection) I will be a loyal fan.
