I think the reason Phillip Lim is so successful as a designer, is because he has the ability to create a seamless thread that connects his menswear and his womens collections. Creating a lifestyle for both, but also keeping the two separate and unique as independent lines. The blend of impeccable tailoring and vibrant colors is just a couple of the reasons why I love the Women’s Resort 2012 collection so much. The main aspect that attracts me, is the overall aesthetic. The way the pieces fall and drape create a nonchalance and sense of ease, but yet still remains modern and fluent. The collection is totally wearable and accessible and I believe it is one of the best collections yet for the women’s resort season.
