In the wake of the most devastating natural disaster that has hit Japan in nearly 1200 years, OWN Magazine will be shooting encouraging and inspiring video messages of hope on the streets of SoHo New York. We ask anyone to come out and support and provide us with a few words for the victims of this terrible tragedy.

Prayers For Japan x OWN Magazine

Location: Spring & Green Street, Soho New York

Time: Sunday March 13th, between 2pm & 5pm

Video messages recorded by the Editor in Chief of OWN Magazine, Kota Kuramoto.

Please, we ask for a few minutes of your time to provide hope messages for the people of Japan.

UPDATE:

OWN MAGAZINE had donations and  video shoot  with encouraging and inspiring video messages of hope in Union Square Park today.

■More than 70 people provided us hope messages of Japan.

■More than 100 people wrote down a warm words on the Japanese flag.

■More than 100 people donated to Japan.

  1. Many people want to help out, but other than money or being an aid worker, there is another way to help by sending words of support and hope. You can send your message online to school children and emergency workers in Japan via Hope Letters http://hopeletters.wordpress.com/. Hope Letters will translate them into Japanese and deliver them to local organizations for posting/broadcasting (when it is practical and effective to do so). Help give hope!
