The Black Nouveau

When I first heard this song I was 6 years old and my mother was singing it in the bathroom into her toothbrush as she got ready for work. When I saw her sing I saw her pain, passion and hope all pour out. Ever since that day I listen to this to help me through hard times.

Also I just noticed that this video was shot at the Angel Orensanz Foundation building on the Lower East Side, which was the same location of the Capsule Trade Show that I attended last Fall. So basically I was in the same space that Mariah shot this video almost 20 years ago! AMAZING!
