The Black Nouveau

The Phillip Lim Spring 2011 was probably the only collection out of the whole New York Fashion Week that I even remotely thought was a mix of commercial and whimsical (in a good way). I often feel New York Fashion Week’s are too commercial and all about making money in comparison to Paris and Milan Fashion Week’s. But there is always something about the Phillip Lim shows that I always think is a great blend of the two worlds, it’s always puts a smile on my face when I’m looking for new shapes for menswear.
