The Black Nouveau

 Recently the music world was shocked by the death of the King Of Pop: Michael Jackson, but as we mourned his death, we praised the return of a Queen. Whitney Houston’s music has been apart of my life since I was 3, with my mother playing every song she came out with and imitating her in the bathroom mirror. Whitney is “the voice” and as we saw her rise to the top, then fall from grace, we now watch as she returns to her rightful place amongst music royalty. Her new album in over seven years “I Look To You” has sold over 305,000 copies, and is her first number 1 album since 1987’s “Whitney”. Her interview on Oprah yesterday was her first in nearly seven years, and with it I truly belive the Queen has returned.
