Balmain Spring 2009 Collection

The term “Balmainia” is truly becoming part of the English language. The obsession with over the top expensive, high shoulder, military-esque bedazzled jackets, shoes and short dresses are making people crazy! I personally don’t understand the fascination with the trend, but it really seems to be picking up speed among young Hollywood and the fashion elite, mainly because they are the only ones who can afford it, a Balmain military jacket starts at $11,000. The trend is very 80’s and frankly is a little tacky, but hey its fashion either ya love it or hate it, or hate to love it.
