Gonzalez Y Gonzalez

Mexican is a genre of the food arts that I have never been a huge fan of. All of the beans, spicy steak and rice have never been any of my favorites, but my taste buds had a epiphany when I first ate at Gonzalez y Gonzalez . I had been there a few times last year for my best friends birthday and other celebrations, and most recently for a lunch meeting and every time I go I just cant seem to get enough! First off the decor is so fun and vibrant with traditional Mexican artwork, paintings, and sculptures which all add to the “fiesta” aura of the place. Secondly the service is always amazing, you never have to wait long for a table, and the waiters always give the warmest smiles.

Last but certainly not least, is the food, where do I begin?! My favorite appitizer are the “Empanandas” with a side of sour cream $6.50, filled with chirizo, cheese and chilies. For the entree I love the “Salmon a la Parilla” $18.95, chile-dusted grilled salmon served with an avocado and red onion salsa and Mexican rice and beans! The food they serve is never overtly spicy and always presented well, not to mention the budget is right up my ally. Check out Gonzalez y Gonzalez for the best Mexican you’ve ever had!
